eat [DESSERTS at URBAN PALATE]

It's no secret that I have an insatiable sweet tooth (thereby a sweet disposition? I'll take it).

Urban Palate always offers up the most delicious treats at the end of their tastings, and these desserts are also some of my favorite to photograph. UP places a lot of emphasis on handmade, individual portions, and it's the nooks and crannies - the imperfections - of each dessert that make them perfectly beautiful.

wedding [SADDLEROCK, FOR URBAN PALATE]

At the end of October, I had the pleasure of joining Urban Palate as they catered a beautiful wedding at Saddlerock Ranch. The food looked excellent, the bride was beautiful, and the property was beyond stunning, and peaceful.

Below, some snapshots from the night - a wedding as seen through the eyes of the catering staff.

celebration [AVERY'S 1st BIRTHDAY]

Last week, I had the pleasure of shooting Avery's 1st Birthday for my catering client, Urban Palate. The food was, of course, insane - the grilled nectarine salad & lobster rolls were my favorites.

Avery's parents are rad - super smart & creative westsiders - and Avery's mom made every adorable detail by hand. I loved her Polaroid-inspired "photobooth", complete with a backdrop of Douglas Park. The photobooth was set up by Megan Keegan Gross, an incredibly talented photographer who was hired by Avery's family to document the entire party.

Big thanks to Urban Palate, Susie, Rory & Avery for inviting me to the celebration. Happy birthday, girl!
